Appearance

TVS Velocity 160 is equipped with body coloured muscular plastic frame that gives it classy image. It seems as a modified version of TVS Apache which has got dynamic body design and innovative features that attract everybody. The bike possesses latest features like front petal disc brake, upside down forks, a non faired front, fatter tyres at front and rear. And a rear mono-shock suspension makes it elegant bike. The eye catchy headlamp of TVS Velocity 160 is awesome. The bike will be equipped with digital dashboard which includes speedometer, trip meter and digital fuel gauge. The muscular bike has sharp short tail lamps that give it rough bike image when seen from rear.
TVS Velocity 160 is to come loaded with black coloured and long stylish silencer that give it sporty look. The curved seat of the bike is very attractive and two persons can sit on it comfortably. This bike sports all latest and innovative features that make it sporty bike in terms of appearance.

The bike will be available with both self and kick start options, as per reports.

An Air cooled, 4 Stroke, Single Cylinder, 2 valve per cylinder, 159.7cc powerplant will be fitted in TVS Velocity 160 which outputs a top power of 15.2 Bhp at 8500 rpm and belts out maximum torque of 13.1 Nm at 6000 rpm. TVS Velocity 160 might be available with Midnight Black and Sunset Yellow body colours that will surely add glamour to it. Brakes

Suspension

The compact engine of TVS Velocity 160 will be supported with rigid suspension to deliver great performance on the roads. This most awaited bike is to be blessed with front suspension of Upside down forks (Mito) and YSS Monoshock unit at rear. In terms of the suspension, the bike will compete with Yamaha Fazer, Yamaha FZ and Honda CB Dazzler.

Wheels and Tyres

The big bike, TVS Velocity 160 will be equipped with wide wheels at front and rear. It is expected that front wheel size of the bike will be 3 inch and rear is wider than front that is 4 inch wide. These wide wheels of the bike will be covered with front fatter tyre of 120/70-17 Bridgestone Battlax while the rear tyre will be Bridgestone Battlax tyre measuring 150/60-17.

Wheel Base and Controlling

It is expected TVS Velocity 160 will have same dimension as TVS Apache like length is 2085mm, width is 730mm, height is 1100mm, wheelbase is 1326mm, ground clearance is 180mm and weight of the bike may be around 140kg. This very good dimension, wheelbase, curved seat, dynamic body design, fatter tyres, rigid suspensions and disc brakes will help the rider to control it in better way.
